I ran the update routine via the check for new version interface. It found the new appimage however when I try to run it the splash screen appear, I see it loading the workbenches then it disappears. In other words it doesn't completely load.

I then tried downloading it from github into my downloads folder but the same thin happened - splash screen but then no GUI.

My existing version is working fine.

I am on MX Linux a Debian based OS. ??? Attached is a screenshot showing the download version detail

I have just remembered I had a similar problem a couple of years ago. I wonder if this is in some way related to the “ opengl32sw.dll and rename it opengl32.dll” comment in this thread?

You could:
- `touch ~/.freecad/Mod/FreeCAD-Pyramids-and-Polyhedrons/ADDON_DISABLED`;
or
- `cp ~/.freecad/user.cfg ~/.freecad/user_wo_PnP.cfg`, remove from ~/.freecad/user_wo_PnP.cfg Pyramids-and-Polyhedrons section
you'll need to start FC by "FreeCAD_weekly-builds-33263-2023-05-21-conda-Linux-x86_64-py311.AppImage -u ~/.freecad/user_wo_PnP.cfg";
or
- find libnglib4smesh.so in some previous FreeCAD build, unpack .Appimage and copy libnglib4smesh.so to <path_to_unpacked_FC>/usr/lib/
you'll need to start FC by <path_to_unpacked_FC>/AppRun .

I don't think that will work, the problem is that we are still using the same smesh as before but upgraded occt, smesh needs to be rebuilt with the new occt

@xemul and @adrianinsaval - Thank you both - maybe at this stage perhaps I should settle for what I have got in the form of the April appimage as I am presuming this problem may be solved sometime in the not too distant future.

Try the latest appimage, I reverted back to older libraries as workaround while we wait for smesh to be fixed
