[Solved] weekly-builds not updated 33110

Post by bgma1961 »

Hi,

It seems weekly-builds are not updated (All OS)

More precisely

I have FreeCAD_weekly-builds-33040-2023-04-30-conda-Linux-x86_64-py311.AppImage

What is listed at https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD-Bund ... kly-builds

is

FreeCAD_0.21.31081-2022-12-03-conda-Linux-aarch64-py311.AppImage

Note the LOWER number and date.

Seems we should see a link to FreeCAD_weekly-builds-33110-2023-05-07-conda-macOS-x86_64-py311.AppImage

But it does not exist.

So as of today (20 May 2023), the Weekly Build for Mac still hasn't updated, and is sitting at

FreeCAD_weekly-builds-33110-2023-05-07-conda-macOS-x86_64-py311.dmg

Hasn't been updated in a couple weeks. How can we get this un-stuck?

If one looks through the forum there are many cases where "weekly" builds are delayed for one reason or another.

This is an automated process, and many times a change in a library or some other module causes the process to fail.

It will get fixed. There is no need to keep piling on about the missing files.

Weekly builds are not oxygen. You can live without them for a week or two. 8-)

At this time there are very few new features since FreeCAD is in a freeze to prepare for a new release.

In the very few cases I felt I needed an immediate update I simply compile by myself. It is not that difficult once you set up your process.

This text is on the DL page, if you don't want or can't compile your own build, that's what I know about this page you can download from and why ask for people who can test if you have to spend several weeks for it to be there something to test? if you don't want people to test, maybe you should remove the text. If there are now so many posts about missing or not updated weekly builds, it's probably just a matter of skipping these.

The most important part of what I wrote is

"It will get fixed. There is no need to keep piling on about the missing files."

The people who can fix the problem know about it.

[Edit: Appears to be fixed.]
