Configuration page should be updated

Post by jp-willm »

Hello wiki authors and translators and thank you for your excellent work.

I'd like to point out the important Start_up_and_Configuration wiki page which amha deserves to be updated :
https://wiki.freecad.org/Start_up_and_Configuration/fr

The paths to profile folders are outdated.
For example for GNU/Linux, the user profile folder is now in /home/user/.config/FreeCAD and no longer in /home/.FreeCAD.
Ditto for the macros which are now in ~/.local/share/FreeCAD/

It seems to me that the path to the profile folder has also changed for new versions of Windows...

I'd also note that the list of dependencies should be updated. If one installs the list of dependencies to compile FreeCAD from source, the fmt library is not installed, it is downloaded during cmake configuration. If there is problem with Internet connection it can bring trouble.

libfmt-dev should be added in the list of dependencies, methinks.

The mentioned pages are hard to keep up to date as they require technical knowledge that most Wiki editors do not have. Updating the paths on the Start_up_and_Configuration page is doable, but that would still leave us with a page containing outdated information.
