Well. Cool pictures but did you get an official authorization from Ryobi to use it as a branding mark in a product?
Well as the battery was drawn from dimensions taken from a generic aftermarket "Ryobi" battery, the controller and wand were drawn from a generic version, and the actual case is my design, I didn't think it would be a problem ... But it is not my call.

I am however most glad that you liked the images anyways.

howetuft wrote: Wed May 17, 2023 4:55 am Yes, good idea, but why not use Render WB instead of Blender? (or at least both). And as far as I can see, there is no license information with the model, this should be clarified with the owner, in my opinion.
I've tried the various renders from within FreeCAD and have been underwhelmed. I have almost no experience with Blender but I can export a DAE model from FreeCAD, import it into Blender, assign materials by draging and dropping from a pallet of materials that i created, and create a basic render in about 5-10 minutes. Also once the model is in Blender, animations are easy. I've done a quite a few animations in FreeCAD, and setting them up in Blender is very easy. You can find bigger "better" version at https://hackaday.io/project/184288-simp ... ma-replica, https://hackaday.io/project/184582-yarm ... outer-mill, and https://hackaday.io/project/191091-diy- ... r-cnc-head.

I would love to be able to creat quick and pretty renders directly out of FreeCAD, and I hope that someday soon RealThunder's "Shadows" draw style gets added to the main branch.

For your consideration, these are a few screen shots from my most ambitious model. This is my version of an Enigma Machine replica, you can find it at https://hackaday.io/project/184288-simp ... ma-replica. This model is huge and very detailed. I think that this model clearly demonstrates that FreeCAD is not jut a toy, but can create complex detailed models. I have used it to shut down some people who were very dismissive of FeeCAD's abilities.

@chrisb
I am delighted with this gesture.
For my part, I struggle to respect the specifications @chennes . I would like to send you the images but here it is not really my domain and it becomes distorted if I respect the 400x245px and 800x490px.
Here is a screenshot if needed.
@ppemawm
Thank you very much for this testimonial.

Maybe we could make a FreeCAD-0.19-like muti-tile splashscreen with 4-6 different models created by the community?

I can share my "hedgehog" for a free use:

It was created completely in FreeCAD after reading this paper (CC BY 4.0) https://www.researchgate.net/publicatio ... r_Meshings
