Of course. And this is the reason, why companies dismiss all their direct modeling lately. I hope the sarcasm undertone arrives. Try to change in a direct modeling program the pitchhole from 2 to and other number, then you will see. And this is only the the lowest example.

the first 2 minutes 1/2 can be done with a single sketch and a single revolution, probably in less than a minute. And fully parametric
try the Assembly4 workbench for FreCAD — tutorials here and here

@thomas-neemann What do you want to do with showing us this? If you are asking whether I like direct modeling the answer is yes, I like it. Direct modeling to me can be freedom. I think that DM certainly can help. But paddle is doing that, I think with his WB.
About Nim. Latest Release 2.0.2. Here is Nim in 100 seconds and a Nim package. There are Qt and OCCT packages.
