I'm trying to change the Display -> Draw styles settings and apply them on a currently open project, but they don't refresh even after reopening the project. They only apply on newly created projects. How can I fix this?

Withou a proper FreeCAD info it is difficult to tell.
See maybe:

On hiw to supply correct information about what version if FreeCAD you are using.
It will tell even the AddOn version too and also OS Language settings that could enter the game.
