there is a stupid point 6 which blocks the rotation (and the Pad)

Re: Error when attempting to use Polar Pattern Feature
that was it. thanks. i am wondering because a new sketch with point can be extruded
edit
I made a mistake when testing. points in the sketcher are construction points. my switch has caused the opposite of what I thought. but it is also the case here that partdesign can extrude it
Re: Error when attempting to use Polar Pattern Feature
A point on its own will extrude to a line, a point in a sketch with a closed wire throws an error if it is not construction.

Re: Error when attempting to use Polar Pattern Feature
Thanks for the info. but there seems to be a difference if it is extruded in part or partdesign

Re: Error when attempting to use Polar Pattern Feature
yes because with PartDesign it tries to extrude 2 superimposed objects, which is strictly forbidden
but why this ton of construction lines
but why this ton of construction lines

Re: Error when attempting to use Polar Pattern Feature
thanks, but this is confusing to me
Re: Error when attempting to use Polar Pattern Feature
Greetings to the Community!
The gif shows the point that generates the error (as already highlighted in the previous interventions), if we try to create a solid the error will always be signaled because we will not have a closed polyline/wire, this also happens if the point is finds above a line of the sketch that generates the solid.
If instead we create a ruled surface then everything works in fact the point is extruded in line and the sketch as a ruled surface.

Re: Error when attempting to use Polar Pattern Feature
I understand that, but why does it work despite the point in partdesign?
