Accessories:
-Flat barn: 1200*150*10mm -hardox700steel.
-Idea and picture from internet
-A familiar company that gives the use of its plasma cutter, welding machine and facilities for free.
-Free time, tape measure and computer.
Task would be to just create a uniform poly-line for the cutter, deposit it on a USB stick, take the goods to the van, go to the site, have a coffee chat and get the job done.
Enclosed:
01: material, 02:inspiration, 03:sketch , 04 over an hour later, 05: final result.
Explanation:
Figure 03 shows how the copying is parameterized, yet the end result is what it is.
I wonder very much why I even bother trying?

File ?
Flip problem : when Sketch solver find an other mathematical solution which is not the use solution.
Solution : repetition outside Sketcher wb (PartDesign_LinearPattern)
Solution : modify your dimensions by small step to stay near your last solution (Ctrl-Z in case of flip).

Re: An easy little project for a garden tractor.
Sorry I didn't notice the new rules
versions:
19 latest built - better
20.2 -worst seen so far
os.Linux mint
image drawing time ~20min
correction time ~2h
I tried to draw with version 20.2 at 20pm to 04am finished about a third.
i promise 10000€ if i can't manage such a picture with a commercial windows English/finish cad/cam program I've never seen before in less than an hour. I'm 1000% sure i won't exceed the time.
ps. the downloadable version 20.2 could not be installed , but the snap-files version could be installed. drawing with this version is more difficult than with 19.
I would be grateful if i could get some working cad program for Linux system, 2d would be enough.

Re: An easy little project for a garden tractor.
here it is.
here is also another one that took me more than 13 hours, I would have to change the dimensions to make this one possible, but I know that even an attempt would be a disaster

but I must protest, despite your efforts to help.
Thank you for that, sincerely.
Every "help" includes only my mistake , which I am guilty of for some reason that I am supposed to know.
This has been the case all along
But if it was just me, why is there other software that is very expensive when there is this flawless one that only I can't use?
I try to defend myself with a video where I determine the distance, probably incorrectly judging by the end result.
now again a break from trying to use this software.

Re: An easy little project for a garden tractor.
Instead of drawing the entire profile at once, draw a single tooth section, use it to cut, and then pattern that cut for the entire length. This way you spend a lot less time adding lines and constraints and it is much easier to make a model without mistakes.
