Help restoring map mode
Some how I have deactivated map mode for all of my projects, and I can't even start a new part because with the map mode deactivated there is no reference from which to make any changes. Don't know how I did it, but I'm dead in the water until I can reset it to default. I've already uninstalled/reinstalled FreeCAD, but the problem persists.
Re: Help restoring map mode
FreeCAD infos?
File (we don't even know which workbench you use)?

Re: Help restoring map mode
How about a file showing the issue? Please note that we don't have any idea what you are doing on your computer. We see nothing but the forum posts. These are minimum options you have, and you can well combine them:
- Upload a preferably simple file
- explain step by step what you are doing (workbench used, tools invoked, values entered, ...)

I do not know what you mean with "map mode" but perhaps you can restore the problems by selecting in the pull down menu

Re: Help restoring map mode
Thank you for trying to get me on the right path.
When I tired to launch a past project the following message populates in the report view:
12:10:43 Part::Cut: Link(s) to object(s) 'Box001 Box010' go out of the allowed scope 'Cut008'. Instead, the linked object(s) reside within 'Part Part'.
12:10:43 Part::Cut: Link(s) to object(s) 'Box Box010' go out of the allowed scope 'Cut009'. Instead, the linked object(s) reside within 'Part Part'.
12:10:43 Part::Cut: Link(s) to object(s) 'Box003 Box010' go out of the allowed scope 'Cut010'. Instead, the linked object(s) reside within 'Part Part'.
12:10:43 Part::Cut: Link(s) to object(s) 'Box004 Box010' go out of the allowed scope 'Cut011'. Instead, the linked object(s) reside within 'Part Part'.
When I click on the three dots to the right of "Map mode" the resulting box is the attachment box. I have managed to get some of the old projects to work by selecting XY Plane. So it seems to be working again, but still do not know why map mode for all of my projects changed to "deactivated".

Re: Help restoring map mode
Without a file is hard to tell.
At least you could tell:
What FreeCAD (FC for short) version have you used to make the "old project"?
It was an official FC version or maybe a "Linkstage Branch" (RT branch)?
Regards
Carlo D.

You may have used an addon which is no longer installed.

Re: Help restoring map mode
I believe it was FC 0.20.1
I would attach one of my files, but I don't know how to do that - I don't see the means of attaching one. Can you walk me through attaching one, or where I can post one?
Many thanks,
Mark
