Strange. What was the content of the file? In that time frame I think we have the exclusive adoption of python3 which broke a lot of stuff made under python2 and the recent toolcontroller changes which brakes anything using legacy tools.
I guess it depends what is in the files.

OK, I've replicated the problematic job with a similarly oriented body and same drilling paths. All is working as expected.
Many thanks to Gene for the independent checks and helpful suggestions. It's invaluable to have problem files tested on a different system.
Much time wasted but back in business creating paths for this part at last. Hopefully I can get on with the job now.
