Does the CFDoF workbench have options for analyzing flows through rotating machineries such as axial fans? I’m interested in predicting torque and pressure rise across the fan.
Thanks

Re: Flow Through an axial fan
I recorded a tutorial about the simulation of a wind turbine. You can find the tutorial here: https://youtu.be/Q10MbSFEiEM
This solution is a simple solution, a "high end" solution would be to use a rotating mesh with Arbitrary Mesh Interface (AMI). This solution is not supported by the current version of FreeCad CfdOf.

Thanks Raedchen. Great job!
Re: Flow Through an axial fan
Is there any other option to run the fan model in order to get a high end solution? I’m very interested in getting a decent solution to my model.Raedchen_im_System wrote: ↑Mon Mar 06, 2023 11:19 pm I recorded a tutorial about the simulation of a wind turbine. Re: Flow Through an axial fan
A fan can not be modeled with just rotating wall. Maybe a tesla turbine not a fan.
You need at least MRF (as far as I know not supported with cfdof). I find youtube tutorial misleading
