GSOC 2023

Post by yorik »

Hi all!

The 2023 edition of Google Summer of Code is starting, and this year our friends at BRL-CAD are not setting up the umbrella organization we used to take part in the previous editions, so, at the FreeCAD day, we unanimously decided to try to participate on our own!

On February 7th, @kkremitzki and I submitted FreeCAD as a candidate org to participate to the 2023 edition. As soon as we hear form them if we are accepted or not, we'll post back here.

The application page is at https://wiki.freecad.org/index.php?titl ... _Code_2023

If you have more suggestions or ideas of good GSoC projects, please update the page or post here. If you wish to become a mentor this year, post here too! I'll write more later about what you should expect when mentoring.

What is the meaning of this? Should we rewrite our ideas that we already posted?
