A2Plus and Treeview

Post by hsmeets »

Hi,

Code: Select all

OS: macOS 10.16
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.20.2.29603 (Git)
Build type: Release
Branch: (HEAD detached at 0.20.2)
Hash: 930dd9a76203a3260b1e6256c70c1c3cad8c5cb8
Python 3.10.8, Qt 5.15.4, Coin 4.0.0, Vtk 9.1.0, OCC 7.6.3
Locale: C/Default (C)
Installed mods:
  * A2plus 0.4.60h
  * kicadStepUpMod 10.17.1
  * fasteners 0.4.54
  * ExplodedAssembly
  * Assembly3 0.11.4
Btw this is on an Intel Mac, not the newer Apple silicon. Not sure if that can be seen from the info above.

I was doing a quick and dirty assembly in A2Plus to check dimensions/room between parts and noticed that at some point the treeview with parts and constraints stop being nested/indented.

Restart FC did not resolve the issue.

The constraints still work, when I move the part and let the solver run parts move back to the constrained position.

Close and restart FC did not resolve the issue.

I'm not sure this a A2Plus - Treeview issue. I saw similar behavior the other day with the ExplodedAssembly WB that at a certain point the Trajectory-Line was no longer indented. But yesterday a restart of FC fixed that with the ExplodeAssembly WB. Today with the A2Plus it does not.

I can give you all files but it's rather big because of (external .step) parts used and zipped it is still 11MB (and cannot be uploaded here).
