I should add that of course our friday FreeCAD side-event is still on foot (just now it will become the MAIN reason to come to FOSDEM )
Re: Real-world meetup (Fosdem 2023)
The list of devrooms has been published: https://fosdem.org/2023/news/2022-11-07 ... per-rooms/
There is still an Open-source design devroom where I think FreeCAD-related talks would fit perfectly!

Re: Real-world meetup (Fosdem 2023)
I am hoping to make it to FOSDEM, just waiting for wife to make up her mind about joining me for a few days, before or after.
On a slightly different note. I did ask in https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. ... 72#p638772 If anybody had tried
getting FreeCAD working on the ARM part of Jetson Nano?
https://developer.nvidia.com/embedded/j ... eloper-kit
The idea being create model with FreeCAD and then use CUDA and the GPU's to do physics modelling etc
The NVIDA Jetson Nano development kit is not that much more expensive than a Raspberry Pi at the time I bought one.
I have too much on my plate to try myself, plus compiling lots of support libraries from source is not my scene.
Wondering if anybody would be interested in borrowing my JetSon Nano ( I would ship)
to see if they could make FreeCAD work. I would like Jetson back, ideally collect at FOSDEM but not essential.

I see FOSDEM is held at ULB Solbosch Campus, Brussels, Belgium
Anybody can suggest a good hotel to stay at, cheap would be good.
Will plan to travel by EuroStar from UK.
Thanks

A few of us stayed here last time. Walking distance to city center. Need to take a bus to Fosdem. Not a big deal.
It was clean, comfortable, and affordable.

Re: Real-world meetup (Fosdem 2023)
Thanks - Have gone for one with a Eurostar deal - Bedford Hotel and conference centre - Rue de Midi, will likewise have to catch a bus.
Re: Real-world meetup (Fosdem 2023)
I live near the Midi train station (rue Docteur Kuborn), where is also the Brussels Hackerspace. There is another meinigher address one block from here too. Anything inside or just outside the inner city ring is pretty easy and you can do everything by foot:
If I can help in finding accomodation, don't hesitate to PM me. I can't offer accomodation at my place unfortunately as it will be full already, but hackerspace members might have a couch available. If anyone is interested, tell me too.
