Unless I have misunderstood there is a FreeCAD meeting on the Friday before Fosdem, not sure what time it starts or how long it would take to get to from the Airport etc

Yes. I will try to get there as soon as possible. My flight lands at 9am. This was the earliest that I could get. I'll grab the train from Charleroi, then taxi straight from there. I hope I get there by noon.

We have a room the whole day friday at https://www.ateliersdestanneurs.be/ @czinehuba you'll miss the first few hours but there'll still be plenty to do and see.

I'll post an "official" poster soon with all the details.

BTW AFAIK we have two FreeCAD talk proposals only for FOSDEM this year, one by me (general FreeCAD state of affairs) one by @jnxd (about his spline / sketcher work). But we don't have approval yet.

The "open design devroom" at FOSDEM is sunday afternoon only, unfortunately.

For thursday night, for who'll be there already, I propose to meet at https://lecirio.be/en for a drink/food/meet

If you think you'll be there, please reach to me so I can estimate the number of people and reserve a table.

Also I'll print some t-shirts. Tell me if you want to reserve one and the size (S, M, L, XL, XXL). They should cost around 10€ each. For folks who won't be there, I could send you one afterwards, but I need to look at sending costs

I'm thinking of doing one of these:

My favorite is number one. Which one do you prefer?

That's great. Thanks for the update.

I like No. 1 as well. You can put me down for an XXL one. Please pm me if you need the money beforehand.

Although being a bit afk past 2 months I am still very much interested in proceeding working on Freecad and going to the meeting. I started a new job, and although I rather worked 32 hours and spend 8 hours on my own projects and Freecad, this was the only thing they didn't want to negotiate on. :(
Although things will calm down a bit in the future when the massive amount of backlog is worked away. And I will probably ask for 32 hours as soon as I get bored.

Now this meeting is only a 1,5 hour drive from me. And my new job has a rule about 2 days off for charity per year, so it should be good to go.

Although I'd think it would be fun to grab a drink on thursday or friday, just finding a place to sleep/park for this is a bit to much as far as I see it.

Does anyone know if there are parking options? I can come by train but that would add 30% travel time.

I'd take the second shirt with the giant logo. If these are eu sizes I want an XL if they are Asian sizes a XXL!

It is difficult to choose, If I have to I will choose 2.

Number 2 is more impressing.

Number 3 is good to, more coloured and showing something.

also Number 1 has some reasons.

I could you send a PM to reserve some of them, shipped to Italy, maybe a couple.
