Kind of sad that Autodesk controls well over 50%. But FreeCAD does fare well against other alternatives.

This might be a small sampling from a site targeted at hobbyists but I still think the data is interesting.

This "statistics" are rubbish. Even in the source it is written, that this is feedback from <500 people. So it is clearly biased (the area of people give feedback seems clearly not to be normalized) and declaring it "marked share" is stupid af. Even i miss here in the "statistics" some big players, there are rare or even not noticed.

This survey is only from CNC Cookbook customers. I doubt that many professional CAD users are customers of CNC Cookbook.

Here is another statistic from 2018. The Freecad rate is comparable

So we don‘t see the boost here which would reflect the enormous steps, that FreeCAD has made.
A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf Deutsch, en français, en español.

when i put all the information together (google trends etc) i see strong increases for freecad, most stagnation or drop for the rest

Any PTC Software? Any Siemens Software? From DS CATIA? From Autodesk Revit? I even call this "statisitc" out BS. Even i think that FreeCAD is have not that much impact >1% now, because FreeCAD is missing one big feature (not TNP solving), PDM (PLM). With that you can get seats. Note, i do not want to sell anything or will do any marketing. FOSS speaks for itself. Try it, use it or not.

in my opinion, there are more cad workstations in small companies worldwide than in corporations and large companies

That can be true, depends on the definition small. But have nothing to do with an obvious false statistic.

It's difficult to find figures for freely available software. what you find indicates that freecad is growing strongly
