From my point of view;
The data should not be collected in the first place so using it or to republish is supporting the data gathering. I presume it could be used to get someone fired from their job by logging in during work hours, maybe that's OK because employees should be monitored. That's where I go, personal liberties.
I don't think FreeCAD should use Git. I also understand one of the reasons that FreeCAD exists is the powerful tools that are available online.
