This is really good!

One thing I would like to see is something to help new users to choose which workbench they will want to work with. Not something that switches automatically, but rather something that teaches: you want to do this or that? This is the workbench you need.

On https://wiki.freecad.org/Which_workbenc ... d_I_choose I started doing this, maybe we need more use cases?

It's on Github, I even placed it in the Freecad Organization. No idea if that is allowed
https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD-Getting-Started (@yorik is our Freecad Wizard so I named it getting started.)
Content warning there is a lot of garbage in the code, I use that as examples to learn from.

:) :)
A comment (to explain the purpose) for each workbench would be great.

First version will be without any bells and wistles. Only simple functional stuff, just so I can keep the code clean and make it easy on myself. Although if people want to contribute I have no issues with that.
If you really want something in the wizard, the best is too make a github issue so it won't get lost.
Because it's gonna a take a while till v1 is done. Because I'm such a noob in this.

We talked about that it should have a cool banner like Inkscape has. @MisterMaker has already done a draft using some of the graphics from freecad.org. Any other ideas? Anyone who want to throw themselves into some artwork?

I would suggest that you just choose one that looks ok to you as did @MisterMaker. I think the one he chose is ok. Maybe without the FC logo, we are kind of putting it everywhere around the place already :D
