here is the current status of the construction of the data center made of wood with heat recovery for wood drying.

Opened in freecad 0.10 from 2010.

That's class! Data centres generate huge amount of waste heat and I have yet not seen any good use for it. You're the first one! :D

A full size 42" fully populated rack might easily have up to 1.5 metric tons. I seriously doubt the wooden one will withstand that?
Cheers,

yes, oak wood is provided for such cases. in architecture, wooden constructions are often smaller than steel constructions

@thomas-neemann: If you want to post more of that, please do it in a own thread, this is not really the place for one project representation only. Thanks.

I was having a course in 3D printing, and were asked to download something from thingiverse. Instead, I modeled this planetary gear in less than 1/2 hour. The whole assembly was printed in-place. The only particularity is to set the teeth somewhat smaller with the "backlash" property. With these settings, the theoretical distance between teeth was 0.180mm. The part printed well, but needed some force to get free. In order to export the final assembly to STL, it needed to be "converted" with Part > Simple Copy. The file can be dowloaded from here

ER20 collet set tray.
My first FreeCAD to real world project, also my first cnc project, in my first cnc. It's a simple thing but I'm so happy, after spending months assembly the cnc, learning cad and cam without prior experience, the results are starting to show.
