Install the Snip addon macro and create an icon for it in the global toolbar.

Thanks, but a screenshot isn't the problem. I just wanted to use the existing image without wasting space (like the images on the wiki page) if that is possible.

The Snip macro can scale. Almost all of my screenshots are made with it and scaled down by 50%. It results in slight loss of resolution, but I think they are still ok.

There's another approach on the paper clip using SheetMetal: SheetMetal_Examples#Paper_clip

I'm sorry, but have no renderer installed and I have no clue how to scale down linked images to not waste space.
Thank you for your effort, i did try this approach but it did not work out for me. The sketch on sheet broke constantly, it was easier for me going for the shown approach. I did not mirror the half of the clip, i linked it instead and rotated it 180°this time. Finally i would make a boolean union, after unfolding if necessary.

The main criteria for me was to create the clip in first place. Sure there are many ways to do that! However try to come up with this shape of the cut out, this is a design result. Therefore you have CAD

Mine was to have a use case for the Sketch On Sheet metal funktion (and then to unfold it in one piece) to fill some wiki void. 8-)

It is not like you would have to spend a week on it!

Hi,
for Windows users I have put together a dependency-free version of FreeCAD Nodes today (other operating systems will follow). If you want to test FreeCAD Nodes as a workbench, just download the package from the link https://github.com/j8sr0230/fc_nodes/tr ... n_dep_free (Code -> Download ZIP), unzip the archive and copy the SUBFOLDER to your Workbench directory (e.g. C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\FreeCAD\Mod). After starting FreeCAD you should find the new Workbench. It contains a toolbar icon that can be used to start the node editor. I have tested the package with FreeCAD 0.20 stable, FreeCAD 0.21 daily and the latest FreeCAD Link Branch without any problems. Let me know if it works for you ...
