Re: Modern UI
Yes - it's working fine in latest version. This module was installed on 0.19 ... but still it's in 0.21 config

Re: Modern UI
It is already possible to mark it as deprecated in a specific version of freecad, it just needs an entry in addonflags.json. Advanced users can still install it, but it won't show in the Addons list by default.

Re: Modern UI
So it's not broken then?
Re: Modern UI
I will try install Freecad on new computer father - there is no any setup from old versions so we can try "installer module" in clean new Freecad on windows but in next weekend.

Re: Modern UI
I would do some more test, but my last experience I had issues with new functions mostly noticable in techdraw and uninstalling.
Re: Modern UI
When I enable the "File" toolbar in the view menu, it disappears as soon as I close the Modern UI menu. If I enable the toolbar via the default view menu, it disappears when I switch workbenches.

Hi! No, I haven't tried 0.21. I'm on 0.20.2 official. I'll give it a trychrisb wrote: ↑Sat Jun 17, 2023 11:40 pm Hi and welcome to the forum!

Re: Modern UI
The Modern UI preferences provide only two button sizes: small and big.
These are two extremes:
On one hand, the small buttons are too tiny (they strain the eyes). Also, where the buttons have a drop-down select overlay (a black triangle), it becomes very difficult to click on the drop-down triangle because it is too tiny.
On the other hand, the big icons are too large (the row of buttons runs out of screen space.) Note that the whole screen width is occupied by very few buttons, and the user will have to scroll very frequently to use the other buttons.
This is too tedious.
Therefore, it would be nice if we can have one or two intermediate sizes of buttons.
(at minimum, let us have one more size: "medium" size)
Thanks in advance!
-------------
BTW, when we select the "big buttons" option, the number of rows setting does not work at all. [BUG]
All buttons appear in just one single row (see the screenshot above).
