By doing a windows run command I found this :
Then added the files here :
still no luck finding the addon in FreeCAD
next thing to try is to restart the computer
No luck with a computer restart

Re: LibLathe - Lathe Path Generation
You may have to create the Mod folder in the FreeCAD folder. Installing one of the addon workbenches from AddonManager should do this for you.
A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf Deutsch, en français, en español.
Re: LibLathe - Lathe Path Generation
Found this installation guide in the WiKi
Unfortunately this didn't do it either.
Still a head scratcher.
I'd love to see a screen shot of the file placement from a Windows user.

You probably have it already. LibLathe didn't work until I placed everthing in the correct directory structure.

Your file pathway looks the same as mine although yours has a _pycache_ folder that mine doesn't.
Looking in the other addon folders for the _pycache_ folder and found that not all folders have it and the ones that do have it ... they are empty.
Honestly ... I have very little experience using FreeCAD which is probably the problem here.
I'll do the tutorial basics for a few days and come back to this.
THX again

Re: LibLathe - Lathe Path Generation
Please be patient with the newbe's lack of understanding here ...
FreeCAD_Turning showed up in the workbench list today so I installed it.
After the install I'm thinking it should show up here ?
But there isn't any lathe stuff in the toolbar ?
Also ... have I done the correct thing here ?
When looking at the FreeCAD_Turning file I noticed the LibLathe folder is empty ?
Your guidance is welcomed
Steve

Re: LibLathe - Lathe Path Generation
My LibLathe folder was empty so I had to add LibLathe folder manually.
On the first post of this thread the first link is the turning addon.
The second link just below is the LibLathe folder with the needed files.
LibLathe didn't work until I replaced the empty LibLathe folder in the TurningAddon with the LibLathe files downloaded from the second link.
To use lathe operations sleect the Path Work Bench. The lathe operations only show up in the top menu bar Path drop down selection.

Re: LibLathe - Lathe Path Generation
THX Warren ... really appreciate it !
After my last post it seemed logical the LibLathe folder should be populated so I went ahead and moved them from the other location.
Thanks for the confirmation.
Your screen shot suggests the lathe processing is only visible after the part is modeled.
So
Next step in the FreeCAD learning is to model a part before trying the lathe CAM path addon.
Based on this screen shot the machining module is, indeed, available ...

Re: LibLathe - Lathe Path Generation
Today's progress ... was not fully successful.
A simple model was created to test the turning.
Opened "Path" tool and could see the turning module icons but they failed to open.
See "Report View" in the screen shot.
Any ideas how to solve this ?
