Re: Sketch renderd in wrong direction
I'm able to make the pocket here.
You should read about TNP.

Re: Sketch renderd in wrong direction
You mean you’ve done a same procedure as i did on the screen record? Is there something you did differently? If you don’t mind me asking.TheMarkster wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2023 11:03 pm I'm able to make the pocket here.

Re: Sketch renderd in wrong direction
All I did was select the sketch in the combo view and click on the pocket toolbar icon.

Re: Sketch renderd in wrong direction
When each time you set a sketch upon a face, you construct a castle on sand : TNP.
It's impossible to suppress a step in the construction tree or vastly modify a sketch.

Re: Sketch renderd in wrong direction
hope this TNP thing will solve upon a 1.0 version release. it's so frustrating...Shalmeneser wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 5:27 pm When each time you set a sketch upon a face, you construct a castle on sand : TNP.

and somehow the pocket function starts to work after I toggle my body into active......

Re: Sketch renderd in wrong direction
Note that it will never be solved only improved - we hope vastly. The best thing you can do is reference always the first possibility. It's the safest you can get.

Re: Sketch renderd in wrong direction
so the realthunder's brach of freecad still doesn't solve this TNP? i'm a complete newbie who just started from a official version of freecad.
but i heard a realthunder's version of freecad is somewhat solved a current TNP of freecad and thats what people is trying to transfer into a 1.0 version of freecad.
Re: Sketch renderd in wrong direction
It cannot be solved, because there are cases where the computer would need to know your intentions.
