Is this a bug?

Post by homicidalbrainiac »

I imported geometry from a merged project file. But as a result, it actually becomes part of the body, and when I export as an .STL, it's actually part of the export.

1. steps to show the error. Hide the part "Projector", the projector is still visible. You can also delete "Projector", yet a copy remains visible. You can also delete all imported shapes, projector copy still remains part of the body.

2. Select body of "base_mount". Not only does it have the original body, but it also shows the outline of the projector whose geometry was imported.

I am using freecad-realthunder, the Link Daily, from snap.

This file is too big to upload, so please let me know if you can access it by google drive:

Yes it's a bug to have made a multitude of bodies, on bodies, in containers, containers
it's like walking into a thorn bush, every time you get rid of one, 3 grab you

Could you please elaborate? Are you saying this is the wrong approach? How would you approach this same part?
