In fact, the discussion / usecases in Yorik's announcement is very useful.

Anyone can create a link in the wiki, or even copy useful content in to another section in the wiki ?

Hello thomas-neemann,

thank you for the additional info. However, it was between this and the Sweep tool from the Part workbench.
The Sweep tool most closely aligns with the function that I needed for that particular object.
