I am trying to create a spiral part from a sketch, but seem to be doing something wrong since when i try to extrude my sketch it doesn't work. I've attached the software details and screenshot of what my sketch looks like - i'm trying to extrude this in the z-direction into a tube like part. I think it may be to do with the geometry being several lines, but i don't know- sometimes i receive the error 'wire is not closed'. I created my spiral 'sketch' in part>create primitives and then the spiral option, but i beleive i need to turn the lines into a suitable sketch before i can proceed. I receive the message ' selected object must belong to an active body - consider using a shapebinder', so i guess i must have to first create a body.....but i'd like to request some assistance on how do i access the option to sketch the spiral? In summary, i think i have some of these steps in the wrong order but can't figure out where i've gone wrong..... Thank you for any tips you can offer!
