Use same profile to sweep along different paths

Post by FCuser0 »

In PartDesign, using "additive pipe", I would like to sweep the same profile along 4 separate paths (not connected to each other).

I succeed in doing this for one edge, but am not sure how to achieve the same with the 4 other edges. If I do these separately, I would have to copy the profile to sweep and attach it to another edge. But how do I do that?

Here is an illustration giving the idea of what I try to do:

this is not possible with PartDesign since you will have 4 separate objects in the same body which is forbidden
either you make a closed frame and cut the 4 corners in Part Wb
either you make a single side and make a Circular Array in Draft Wb if the sides are equal
2 solutions among others

It is possible with a (green) SubShapeBinder - as long as the single solid rule is obeyed.
