A Rotational Issue

Post by cgrifel »

First, this is my first post to this forum. If I have done anything incorrectly or omitted something, please let me know.

In Assembly 4 workbench I have inserted a part (Part 1) - which has four holes, each with its own LCS - attached to the parent assembly.
I then inserted two instances of the same part (Parts 2 and 3) and attached them to different LCSs of Part 1.

When I make Part 2 the active part and try to rotate it, it does rotate the entered degrees, BUT so does Part 3 - the same degrees.

My question is: how can I rotate only Part 2.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

You can edit the Attachment Offset of the LCS in Part 1 to which you attached Part 2. Or maybe use another type of attachment MapMode for that LCS that aligns it correctly. You may alternately do the same to the LCS in Part 2 if that make more sense.
