They have a FreeCAD workbench which you are probably aware of https://wiki.freecadweb.org/FEM_FrontISTR_Workbench. It uses/exploits GPU's. Now I suspect that there are a lot of smaller Engineering firms that have not yet invested in GPU's. Might be worth research if OmdSel could offerNon-Linear FEM analysis says based on https://aws.amazon.com/nvidia/ or Azure.
...
FYI:
DesignSPHysics macro (particle method for fluids) uses GPU too.

FluidX3d (which hopefully can be integrated into FC) uses GPU-computing.

Is that a problem?
Every gaming pc for 1000 $/Euros has a Nvidia Geforce...

May I offer my belated congratulations.

If the corporate world want to get involved with FOSS then perhaps some sponsorships would be in order.

The cost of 100 seats of any other major CAD package would set a corporation back big time
and so sponsorship is an option for them.

There is also a real need for training as not everyone has a passion for what they do and most
big firms have some kind of training budget - even for other big CAD packages.

I can only see positive benefits for everyone including me as an individual all the way through
to large corporations. In my view a logical step in the FOSS world.

I am not aware of the political overtones expressed by others in this thread but in my humble opinion
only good can come.

Regards

Tony
