Issues with understanding/using pipe tool

Post by twchambers »

Version 0.20.2, installed from Flatpak.
I'm having some issues with getting a subtractive pipe to work correctly. My intended use case is that I'm trying to use it simultaneously profile existing edges, as well as adding a rounded corner. Whatever I do, I can't seem to get it to do these actions smoothly. Not quite sure why this is, but potentially not helped by the angles between the planes.
I'd really appreciate anyone having a look at my model and being able to explain what I'm doing wrong/not understanding about the pipe function.

Current model...

Intended outcome (as previously modelled in Blender)...

it is necessary to lengthen the sketches so that there is no material left in the hatched angle

Thanks! I tried that, but I'm still getting a sharp edge on the top and bottom. Did you adjust anything else too? I'm not sure where my "line" sketch needs to be in relation to the "edges".
