Constraining parts in an assembly

Post by JEP »

Hi All-

I am new to FREECAD and I’m having difficulty assembly objects in A2plus. I created an assembly and added a number of parts without difficulty (~100). Suddenly, I’m having problems. I can’t add any more parts to the assembly and get the following message: “Constraints inconsistent. Cannot solve system. Please run the conflict finder tool!”

I get this message when trying to add the first constraint. I’ve tried deleting the constraint and creating a new one, deleting the part and re-adding and also tried rebooting my computer and keep getting the same message.

Can anyone offer any solutions? I only need to add a couple more parts to my assembly, so I don’t think my assembly will be too large. Also, the parts in the assembly are very simple, “rectangular cubiods”. The assembly is a small house addition with showing studs, plywood, etc.

Let me know if more info is needed

Thanks!

JEP
