FreeCAD TD Inkscape plugin

Post by tobiasfalk »

Hi community,
while writing in a other topic about the Wiring Plan feature idea(https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. ... 4&start=80) the question about how the symbol library should be created and svg's came up, I then thought that it would be nice if the whole thing with creating templates(https://wiki.freecadweb.org/TechDraw_TemplateHowTo) could be made a bit easier.
In short what I want to ask if there is the possibility that someone could create a Inkscape Extension(https://inkscape.org/develop/extensions/) for FreeCAD TD templates.
In the first place I think that this should address the whole size adjusting. It may also ad a feature ti Incscape to mark the text as "freecad:editable".

I have no clue what Inkscape extensions are and how to use them, but If you want to create and insert TD templates via python script, have a look at Macro_TemplateHelper and TechDraw_TemplateGenerator and adapt the macros to your own requirements.
