Nice one. It's always great to see these sorts of things, folks using FreeCAD to help in the production of "real" stuff.

Made for easy 3d Printing and modification for Heatermeter project.

Only adapt the parts you need to change. Different damper types can be made and incorporated later.

Nice project. I wonder how well that would work on something like one of Uncle Dave's, (Dave Gingery) charcoal foundries. Probably just need the right probe...

Hi everyone,
My fisrt CNC project (test project) with the use of the newcoming Path workbench of FreeCAD.
The project inside FreeCAD

It was just a test project for two reasons. I use the CNC of my local FabLab and I have to be coaching to become autonomous. There is still some bug in Path module and at the moment my final project is not exportable in gcode without reversed arc.
But I'm sure soon I will machining a nice project using FreeCAD ! :D

@ rockn - Nice. I haven't actually run any Gcode from FreeCAD on a machine yet, just in a simulator like OpenSCAM. Good to see it coming along.

I had a recent project, that while the model was quite simple, it did go through 3 versions in FreeCAD before a final design was decided on, dimensioned plans and templates were printed out, and the project was built. Almost finished except for the trim around the openings, (haven't found the right stuff yet), but still more than good enough for the little KittyMonster. :P

And where would ANY FreeCAD project be it one did not include a few 3D printed parts? ;)

And the almost finished project with intended benefactor. 3D printed parts are the green objects holding the rope that is wrapped around the dowels and hanging down for play.

Harmonic drive (using pla and filaflex)

This mechanism is intended to replace the direct drive stepper that is currently rotating the plate of the ciclop scanner

Real-world section is missing the internal oscillator, but I will post everything once it finishes printing :)
