Talking back with the workflow, Yorik mentioned that panels function is inspired in WikiHouse project. I think for that purpose something necessary to include should be a system to import and save the components like blocks. Then these parts can be stored in a base of data and shared with other users. I do not know if FreeCAD has similar function.

You can already, it's easy, it's just a matter of saving one piece as a single .fcstd file, then use the Parts Library (you can add your own folder in it, or even, of course, share your work with everybody ). Then you just have your pieces in the library that you can drag and drop.

This makes me think, I should add a thumbnail prevew to that script...
