Of course I know it is true, and that's why I said it was an exaggeration. And I guess you know damned well that point on edge does much more than coincidence. I didn't mean to be sarcastic, I tried to show you by using your own words, that it all boils down to opinions.

Which is why we should just run a poll and see which opinion is preferred.

Regarding the fact that forum poll don't get enough votes, we can let it run for a long time and take the result into account only if vote count is over 50 or 100 or such.

For your continuing amusement here is a preview of a new type of complaint in the Help forum.
Help! My fully constrained and fully connected sketch will not pad. I get an error message.

What's up with this idiotic program? Fusion, SolidWorks, etc. can deal with this just fine.

Caused by FreeCAD automagically selecting 1D constraint instead of 2D constraint when user just slightly missed the end of the vertical line. :o

I'll ask again, kindly, for the moderators to lock this thread.
I think it is a reasonable request as the originator of this forum discussion.

It could have been if you hadn't defaced the thread before. :?

FYI, I just pushed a PR that could have allowed everyone to test coincident constrain merging within point-on-object one : https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/pull/7478
Not sure anymore you deserve it...

Being a moderator, and sometimes the one who locks topics, this is one of the worst reasons to lock a topic. Locking is done when the subject matter strays (it did not) or when the discussion becomes uncivil (it did not).

can a mod or @obelisk79 please restore the title of the thread? Thanks for your work @openBrain I'll compile and test, it might be a good idea to make a snap build where the option is turned on by default and have people test it and give feedback.
