Nice work, I once tried to do this myself but ended up installing a Blender addon because it was a lot harder than I thought!

I just can't thank enough the creator of the Fasteners workbench. And all the devs that are punting so much effort in to FreCAD

Can you please tell me what addons you are using to get that interface? Buttons over view and shadow/floor? Thanks

I'm actually using FreeCAD LinkStage3 branch from Realthunder. You can get it here: https://github.com/realthunder/FreeCAD/releases
Beware as it is a experimental branch.

For the customization in LinkStage3 take a look here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-Dh6zC7DlI&t=309s
Also other videos on the channel might be useful.
Cheers

Nice work. Is it for some historical railcar? Will you do model of the whole thing or only this part?

Yup, the prototype is almost 60 years old and I have some blueprints, the idea is to model it with FreeCAD. I hope the default unified assembly workbench will show up soon.
