[Issue #6189] Surface to surface tangency

Post by Pauvres_honteux »

Hi, anyone working on surface to surface tangency with the intent of up-streaming it to master?
The surfaces shall have a common curve ruling them both.

Hi, sorry to say but the problem still persist: there's still no way to define a start and end surface tangency for a multi section surface, where everything stays connected. And I have yet to see any solution to it, with the exception of Thomas

but he doesn't seam to be interested in upstreaming it to master...

for a very simple real life turbo inlet tube.

Perhaps a chat with
would give some clues?

Hi gAdlike, you seem to be programming for the OCE-project?
If so, maybe you can tell us if surface to surface tangency is possible at all with OCE/OCCT?
If it is, can you give some pointers on how to achieve it?

Hi Kunda1, it seams as gAdlike isn't around any more. Do you have suggestions on other people programming for OCE/OCCT ?

So what you, freecad-heini-1, is suggesting is there is one, and one only, who works on surface to surface tangency, i.e. Thomas "microelly2" ?
