Try pinging chennes, He's been doing awesome work on UI stuff lately.I'd ping them but I'm on mobile and this forum software doesn't lend itself to making it easy to ping somebody

Hi chennes, maybe you know how to workaround this problem with stylesheets.

Interesting. I can't reproduce the problem -- it looks like from your screenshot you are on Mint, which is what I just tested on, and I am able to resize the windows when I've selected, e.g. Pro Dark. The border disappears so mine does look just like yours, but hovering the mouse over the window edge still gives me the cursor to resize. I'm on:

OS: Linux Mint 19.3 (X-Cinnamon/cinnamon)
Word size of OS: 64-bit
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.19.24314 (Git)
Build type: Unknown
Branch: aboutWindowDecorations
Hash: 5400b78b0f7cdc7caa7cf870090731fabc36d54a
Python version: 3.6.9
Qt version: 5.9.5
Coin version: 4.0.0a
OCC version: 7.5.0
Locale: English/UnitedStates (en_US)

I am on:

Code: Select all

OS: Linux Mint 19.3 (X-Cinnamon/cinnamon)
Word size of OS: 64-bit
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.19.21125 (Git) AppImage
Build type: Release
Branch: master
Hash: 40600a55c2fe71ff589be677f6e427ccc937d003
Python version: 3.8.2
Qt version: 5.12.5
Coin version: 4.0.0
OCC version: 7.4.0
Locale: English/United States (en_US)
I have tried all stylesheets included with freecad. (Pro Dark is not included). When I select any stylesheet, windows are not resizable.

ProDark was added a few weeks ago -- and sure enough, I tested one of the others and it has the problem you report. So that means that it's something that needs to be fixed (or at least, that *can* be fixed) in the stylesheet. I'm guessing that @turn211 can help us out here.

Ok I have upgraded to:

Code: Select all

OS: Linux Mint 19.3 (X-Cinnamon/cinnamon)
Word size of OS: 64-bit
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.19.24267 (Git) AppImage
Build type: Release
Branch: master
Hash: b2ca86d8d72b636011a73394bf9bcdedb3b109b7
Python version: 3.8.6
Qt version: 5.12.5
Coin version: 4.0.0
OCC version: 7.4.0
Locale: English/United States (en_US)
It is working now with all the included stylesheets, and now the Pro-Dark is in the list also.

This seems to be Linux, maybe Gnome specific. Works fine on Windows (i design on Windows 10) Looks like a undocking problem. Try this as i don't have a Linux box handy. Using the panel > Inspect Widgets hover over the window edge and see if its missing the QMdiSubWindow border
