You may note it can be done mostly with ArchWall. Is that what something you want ?

If I understand it right, that's what freecad-heini-1 did in the linked topic:

A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf Deutsch, en français, en español.

Hi, trying to implement this. What do you think this attribute should be named ? Need some native English speaker's advice.freecad-heini-1 wrote:
Extrusion Offset, Normal Offset ... ?
Thanks.
Re: Feature request thin element for Part and PartDesign workbench
Why not call it "Wall" as in Arch?

Re: Feature request thin element for Part and PartDesign workbench
"Wall" implies vertical orientation.

Line extrusion, or spine perhaps?

Thanks, I am explaining a little bit more the intent.
ArchWall 'thicken' Base DWire / Sketch polyline into baseplate, then Extrude along the Normal for the Height. Now it seem peoples want something more e.g.:
- to have an attribute to control the Wall to 'extrude' in symmetrical direction along the Normal for the Height defined
- to have an attribute to control the Wall 'extrude' some portion in 'reverse' direction / baseplate offset from Base
Now I just added a property 'Extrusion Offset' for above 2nd scenario
(People could manually input -ve of Height /2 to make it look extruding 'symmetrically')
[EDIT] Maybe 'Extrusion Align' for the 1st scenario with option - default 'Bottom' , 'Center' (similar to Center in Align, i.e. symmetrically), 'Custom' - so Extrusion Offset will be used.
I am wondering if I understand people's usage / workflow intuition to add the above 2 attributes and the names of the attributes

Maybe ... ?
- ExtrusionAlign - default 'Bottom', 'Top', 'Center'
- ExtrusionOffset - +ve / -ve Offset
And they behave similarly to Align (Left, Rigth, Center) and Offset
