Hello,
Following the article https://forum.freecad.org/viewtopic.php ... 83a8c09407
I decided to make a series of documents to show workflows to reinforce the toponaming problem already well advanced in LinkBranch by @realthunder .
Here are the pieces I drew and I am writing the comments and illustrations :

Videos of left and right crankcases are available :

http://help-freecad-jpg87.fr/0501a_excomment_ind.php

http://help-freecad-jpg87.fr/0501b_excomment_ind.php

and in french

You will find in these examples :
  • uses of master sketches independent of part bodies with import of geometries,
  • carbon copies of some of these sketches (requiring to use the key combination Ctrl + Alt in addition),
  • the use of Sub-object face binder to transfer common geometries from one part to another,
  • imports of directly extrudable geometries ...

Good stuff. Thanks!

With step "Form of revolution around the motor shaft" and "Ribs of the central fabric of the casing on the motor shaft side", why not use the same reference plane for revolving as drawing the rib? I have not been following this model closely, so I am not sure which sketches were created first, but it seems that it would be more parametric this way (as it removes the 50mm plane offset).

Edit: your French links in the last post are broken.

Perfectly accurate! This is because I used images from the technical documents I had. I didn't ask myself any more questions...

Thanks for pointing it out, it's fixed: I had absentmindedly copied the links from my local tests.
