{SOLVED} Possible Bug 31035-2022-11-17-conda-Windows-x86_64-py310

Post by Palmtree »

The last two Weekly-Builds has the same problem:
• FreeCAD_weekly-builds-31058-2022-11-20-conda-Windows-x86_64-py310
• FreeCAD_weekly-builds-31035-2022-11-17-conda-Windows-x86_64-py310

The Main Menu problem:
Open FC (one of the listed releases above) => on the main menu Click on:
File => No response
Edit => No response
View => No response

Work around => click Tool (or any of the other menu item to highlight) => Now all becoming responsive

This will not happen If I go back to run the older release:
FreeCAD_weekly-builds-30922-2022-11-13-conda-Windows-x86_64-py310

this doesn't happen on win-conda py3.8, so the problem looks like in py3.10

I do not see any problem with 31035 built with python 3.10 or with python 3.8. Tried both of them.

Possibly a problem with an addon, especially a stylesheet.

I have uninstall all stylesheet addon (5 addons) => Exit FC => Try again => NO Luck
I have deleted 2xcfg's file => Start with fresh 2xcfg's file => NO Luck
I am very positive it might be some minor issue during compilation or a window corrupted file on my system (It happed once before, it was solved after reinstalling a fresh copy of Win 10).
I can wait and observe.... if it persists for long time, I may reinstall Win 10.
Many Thanks for your input
Cheers

Stylesheets are very very unlike to be the cause of something like this, could be a system issue or maybe an addon, try a fully clean config (rename or remove the entire %APPDATA%/FreeCAD folder)
