Ok. With dual boot or vm? ( macOS 10.16 < macOS 12.2 )

I use rosetta to run the conda-builds, which works quite good. Actually it's not anti-aliasing but the option to use software-opengl. This option is necessary to have a working web engine when starting FreeCAD via rosetta. It has no impact on the frame rate for the build started via rosetta but it lowers the frame rate of the native build.

Hi @looo ,

I will go from an intel based MacBook Pro to a M1Pro MacBook Pro, with the release of 0.20 is there a plan to compile dmg natively compatible with M1...M2 or is rosetta still the only way to go for the foreseeable future ?
Find your user.cfg and system.cfg files : Macro_findConfigFiles

Imperial system makes no sense, go metric ! ! !

If you like, you can test this DMG in the meantime.

There are still troubles to compile pyside2 5.15 for osx-arm... Cross compiling fails earlier and compiling directly on osx-arm fails with code-signing. If you want to help:
https://github.com/conda-forge/pyside2- ... k/pull/114

But afaik the homebrew builds work already

That is sadly well past my knowledge.

On https://formulae.brew.sh/cask/freecad the version available says
Current version: 0.19.3
Find your user.cfg and system.cfg files : Macro_findConfigFiles

Hi everyone!

There's another thread called FreeCAD on Apple M1 which is similar, but with more updated information.
The two threads could be merged.
I put the link for info… ;)

Cheers and Happy New Year! :D

Now if you go to https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD-Bund ... kly-builds you will find the last .dmg file for Mac M1 (the one with "arm" text on it)
