No silent windows deinstallation...

Post by thomas.besser »

Hi,

with Installer for version 0.16.6712 (https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/rele ... _setup.exe) the old and solved problem (https://freecadweb.org/tracker/view.php?id=2056, https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10532) reoccurs again.

Please make silent deinstallation working again.

Regards
Thomas

Yes, I messed this up with the 0.16.6712 installer. I will try to fix this with the 0.17 installer. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Which one do you use?

For OPSI it's done ;-)

FYI, I recently tested silent deinstallation with the latest NSIS script and it worked without modifying it. Maybe the old installers have been created with an outdated version. I haven't explicitly tested this.

So, when using an installer built with the latest script you should get the file Uninstall.exe inside the installation directory. Now when calling it as Uninstall.exe /S it silently removes all files from the disk.

Sent you a PM. Did you get it? It's here only in 'Outbox' instead of 'Sent messages'!?

EDIT: ok that behavior is normal in phpBB (http://www.gammaspectacular.com/phpBB3/ ... c.php?t=62)

After uninstall.exe /S an message dialog appears and its asking if you really want to uninstall and that is not the expected behaviour - it should be removed without asking
