Does anybody bring the simulation attached to run
OS: Windows 10 Version 2009
Word size of OS: 64-bit
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.19.24267 +99 (Git)
Build type: Release
Branch: Branch_0.19.3
Hash: 6530e364184ce05ccff39501e175cf2237e6ee4b
Python version: 3.8.6+
Qt version: 5.15.2
Coin version: 4.0.1
OCC version: 7.5.3
Locale: German/Switzerland (de_CH)
I suppose the interrupt of the simulation occurs because of "No MRF models present"- at least I suppose. What does it mean ?

Re: Does anybody bring the simulation attached to run
It runs fine for me. Uses around 4GB of memory - perhaps you are running out?Sidemountyucatan wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 3:27 pm OS: Windows 10 Version 2009

No, this is a normal part of the output.I suppose the interrupt of the simulation occurs because of "No MRF models present"- at least I suppose. What does it mean ?
Re: Does anybody bring the simulation attached to run
MRF stands for Multiple Reference Frame. It's a technique used in OpenFOAM to simulate rotating machinery. It's not supported by the CfdOF workbench so the message you get is perfectly normal.Sidemountyucatan wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 3:27 pm I suppose the interrupt of the simulation occurs because of "No MRF models present"- at least I suppose. Re: Does anybody bring the simulation attached to run
Hi,
I#m very interessted at this technique, coud you point me to some informations how to release it ?

Re: Does anybody bring the simulation attached to run
You would have to define this manually, using OpenFOAM syntax. The CfdOF module can help you with the initial setup but the rest would have to be done outside of FreeCAD. The solver used for MRF is just simpleFoam but you have to set the additional MRFProperties. Check the examples in OpenFOAM tutorials library. Also, here are some YouTube videos that can be useful:

I don't think so. There is 16 GB installed. Any other reason you might consider ?

Re: Does anybody bring the simulation attached to run
Below I post the OPenFoam messages. Can anybody find the reason for the simulation error ? Too low RAM should not be the reason as Olivertoxoby mentioned. (16 GB installed).

From your output it looks like you may have changed boundary conditions without re-generating the mesh. From the 'read this first' post:

- Please re-do all steps from scratch to check the reproducibility of the problem from the saved state that you provide: Write mesh; Run mesher; Write case; Run solver. If changes are made to the model between generating the mesh and running the solver, the cases can get out of sync.

Hm, might be. I do not remember all my actions in detail at this time but I will try to take care of that and try it once more.
