Feature #3011 - TD broken view

Post by ggarner »

Techdraw would benefit from a similar feature such as that shown here: http://help.solidworks.com/2012/English ... K_VIEW.htm
You can use a broken (or interrupted) view in a drawing. Broken views make it possible to display the drawing view in a larger scale on a smaller size drawing sheet. You create a gap or break in the view using a pair of break lines. Reference dimensions and model dimensions associated with the broken area reflect the actual model values.
If there is consensus on this feature, then I may work to help implement it.

I vote for that too :-)
Would be very handy on a job I'm doing right now..
I had to use Inventor to do the drawing..

Cheers

This has been a Feature request for a while. I'm sure people would like to see this implemented. Are you going to take a stab at it?

Please up again for this feature possibly in FreeCAD in 2023 :D
