I have been trying to use sketches to accomplish this, see:

@domad reply.

Seems you have to use part first to get the compound miter angles, or how would it be done in sketcher? I can do this in part, but not from sketches.

The image shows what I am after. But when I do additive loft in part design, it gives the wrong result.

Any help resolving this would be appreciated.

I discovered I can also use 4 wires. End wires and the two compound miter wires and use part loft between 2 wires at a time.

But after 20 attempts I cannot figure out how it's done in part design using sketches.

There are things that work in Part workbench and don't in Part Design.

Nothing wrong with doing it in Part workbench.

I am at the point where 3 sketches work, but all 4 does not work, images included. Drawing also included.

I can do a final loft on last two. But no matter what I try, 4 sketches will not properly loft.

You cannot control the mapping of the edge segments directly. Use intermediate sections if you get unwanted crossings.

@chrisb Thanks for the answer. I did that and it worked. But thanks for clearing it up.

And if I haven't already, I appreciate the mini tutorial you gave in sketcher in the other post. :D

I know just that short tutorial will help anyone new to Freecad. I've been mostly using draft, but recently using sketcher more for some things.
