Hi all,
I'm new to freecad, and have drew and padded a rectangle with holes in.
Then I drew some brkts which attach to the rectangle in a seperately body, when I put the brkts in the first body I can position them roughly where I need them.
Is there a way off positioning them using constraints between 2 bodies?
I need them to be within a mm off a drawing
Thanks for any help

Re: Moving objects in relation to others
You could use one of the add-on assembly workbenches, like A2plus Workbench.
Re: Moving objects in relation to others
Not knowing what brkts is, I hope it's irrelevant.
If you want to stay with the base system in a single file, you can
- use a ShapeBinder to transport geometric information from one body to another and place objects relative to that ShapeBinder
- You can use Expressions to change the placement of the second body relative to the first one

Can you go from the edge of body to the edge off another with a specific length in a2plus wb?
