[BUGGY but solved]: 0.20.1 often the shadowing disappear
Windows 11 Pro 64 bit
On a solid, when I go back from
Going from
View > Draw Style > No Shading
to
View > Draw Style > Shaded
it's ok but when I'm back to
View > Draw Style > No Shading
All the visibility is flatted down (see the attachment) and I'm not able to re-establish it.
I have to restart FreeCAD to get it back.
Is it a recon bug? Or is there a way to get it normal in another and more simple way?

I understand the rules but it does on any project. Not matter the complexity. And it's "random" ... I mean not always ... but often I found my slef into this situation

But, not knowing what hardware, OS, and FC version, we have no idea whether it;s a hardware issue, software bug, difference because of the version, etc.
In other words we need a crystal ball to scry what might be.

It never happened to me......
But maybe I'm using a different version to you? We can't tell because you didn't follow the rules even though you know them.

I wrote the version on the title.drmacro wrote: ↑Sat Dec 03, 2022 11:02 amBut, not knowing what hardware, OS, and FC version, we have no idea whether it;s a hardware issue, software bug, difference because of the version, etc.

Is it such a onerous task to click Help>About, click "Copy to clipbord", and paste here?BartR wrote: ↑Sat Dec 03, 2022 11:05 amI wrote the version on the title.drmacro wrote: ↑Sat Dec 03, 2022 11:02 amBut, not knowing what hardware, OS, and FC version, we have no idea whether it;s a hardware issue, software bug, difference because of the version, etc.

No it isn't as far as FreeCad is reporting correct version of the OS ... so: not like in this case.drmacro wrote: ↑Sat Dec 03, 2022 11:09 am Is it such a onerous task to click Help>About, click "Copy to clipbord", and paste here?

Re: 0.20.1 often the shadowing disappear
I found the way.
Just select the last feature of A body (no matter which one):
Right Click > Set Colors > Set to Default
and everything comes back to normal without to restart the project of worse: FreeCAD.
Not clue if it's a bug or an anomaly: it occurs.

@Bance I see that the menu help etc, doesn't report graphics card etc ... what if this is due graphic card/driver issue?
Hence: not only the report is partially wrong, but also uncomplete ...
