Navigation Cube. Works on one system, not on another

Post by MadZeus »

Hopefully this is the right place. I have FreeCAD .20 installed on an older Intel laptop and the Navigation cube works fine. Running Wing Windows 10.

I have a slightly newer machine, custom built per se, running Windows as well, and the Navigation cube does not work. It is just a static image in the upper right corner. When I use shift+right mouse and move the object the cube also moves accordingly.

I would like to get the Navigation Cube working, it's really convenient. Any suggestions?

I think I have a similar (possibly the same) issue. I have the navigation cube working on my intel laptop but, I have an AMD CPU and GPU and the only interaction that works with the navigation cube is dragging it around. None of the faces of the cube illuminate when moused over and none of the arrows or other interactions work.

So, since no more replies should I assume this is probably a bug on AMD Ryzen chipset or the graphics card?
Thanks!!

Probably a long shot, but sometimes graphics card issues can be bypassed by using software OpenGL. At least a test can be made to see if the missing function can be restored.
