<Problem re-appear in recent Git> Geodata OSM --> ArchSite Terrain --> Slope Cut Problem

Post by paullee »

Hi,

I am trying Geodata OSM import to ArchSite Terrain and see how it works.

I have OSM Height Import a random location which create Loft of the terrain. I create a Site Object, then the Loft become the Terrain reference. You can see a few screen capture on the progress and with Hi-Res of the high-res towers (the buildings on the lower and left portion area are existing buildings imported by OSM import).

The problem currently I have is I can a random solid trying to 'cut' from this terrain, it seems not working w/ nothing subtracted. I have turned the 'ruled' to Yes in the Loft, then I try turning it off. The result is better, but you can see half of the subtraction become hole.

Anyone done this before and any ideas? Thanks!

Re: [Solved] Geodata OSM --> ArchSite Terrain --> Slope Cut Problem

Problem Solved.

It turn out Part Extrude do not by default change the base wire (closed to be a face) into solid - need to click a checkbox.

After switch the Solid field in the property view for the Extrusion, the hole is filled!

<Problem re-appear in recent Git> Geodata OSM --> ArchSite Terrain --> Slope Cut Problem

Hi, i find the same problem appears again in recent git 11210 (Przemof repo for Fedora) - there is piece missing in the cut (see screenshot).

I have a few copy of AppImage and find FreeCAD-0.17.git201703220057.glibc2.17-x86_64.AppImage recompute the ArchSite object without missing piece.

There maybe something wrong somewhere.
